Goals of the association

Today entrepreneurs are not limited to the domestic market but are increasingly looking at foreign markets in search of new opportunities. Products, data and people cross borders, traversing various countries, cultures, legal and tax systems.

In response to the demand of the European market, the idea of international cooperation of accountants, tax advisers and auditors was born, which resulted in establishing the International Association of Professional Advisers (IAPA)

IAPA is an association of small and medium-sized European consulting companies. The goal is to provide Customers with the highest quality service in every place where they run their business.

The name International Association of Professional Advisers appeared for the first time in 1991 when the principles of cooperation and seeking new members were formulated. In the same year Murray Sweet was elected the President and the secretariat was established in London. IAPA had five founding members.

The legal structure of the organization had changed five times to achieve its present shape in 2002.

Currently, members of the Board are: Peter Scheller (Germany), Lennart Nilsson (Sweden), Hugo Schauli (Switzerland) and Tomasz Wikliński (Poland).
